Let me give you a little bit of my background and the events that led to me starting this wellness journey.
I struggled with Anxiety for years. All through my teens and into adulthood. After many panic attacks, I was prescribed medication. I used this for years and still always felt anxious. I was also getting dizzy spells and breaking out in hives on the regular. I decided something needed to change. I began searching for something different. I landed in the office of a Homeopathic doctor who performed an allergy test on me. Turns out that I am allergic to a multitude of things ranging from black pepper, to wheat. I was shocked. I drastically changed my diet and I was thrilled to find that my anxiety symptoms lowered tremendously. Learning to navigate removing wheat from my diet, I learned that wheat is also in a ton of beauty products. I had to start label reading like crazy which is when my eyes were opened to the sickening amount of toxins in the products I was using on a daily basis.
I knew I needed to make a switch. This is when I began using Essential Oils. I found that the only thing I loved more than the results, was feeling empowered by taking control over my health and the products I was exposing myself to. I couldn’t help but share the magic I had discovered. I am extremely passionate about living a non-toxic lifestyle and creating a safe home environment for myself + my family.

Aromatic usage is simply the act of breathing in the Essential Oil, allowing you to experience the aroma of the oil. This can be done by directly smelling from the bottle, adding a drop to your hands and taking a deep breath, or by diffusing which is the most common way. Add water to your diffuser + 2-6 drops of oil (varies based off diffuser + room size). Aromatic use has great effects on the mind + body.
Topical usage is done by applying the essential oil direct to your skin. We recommend dilution when applying essential oils topically. Simply apply a carrier oil to your skin while applying the oil. Dilution doesn’t lower the effects of the oil, it actually does the opposite by allowing the oil to absorb more effectively into the skin. Topical application should be done in small amounts, more frequently. This application is tremendously effective when targeting a specific area of discomfort.
Internal use is also a great approach for experiencing the benefits of essential oils. However, I can only speak to the safety of this application when using doTERRA essential oils specifically. If you are wondering what oils are safe to use internally, look at the bottle for a label called “Supplemental Facts”. This is your indicator that an oil is safe for internal consumption. 1-2 drops of oil can be added to water in a stainless steel or glass bottle, OR can be added to a veggie cap + swallowed.
