Laundry Hack

This hack might seem simple or a little over the top, but let me tell you, it is worth it.

I am all about efficiency and this laundry hack gets it.

I purchased a four sorter laundry hamper and this is how it breaks down from left to right.

• Colored clothes that CAN be put in the dryer

• Colored clothes that CANNOT be put in the dryer

• White clothes

• Lululemon / delicates

Now here is the explanation on why I do this. We all can attest to forgetting to switch the laundry over or even worse, accidentally drying that 100% cotton T-shirt and now it looks like you shop at the Baby Gap. Josh particularly likes to buy these T-shirts that shrink and I hardly dry any of my clothes in the dryer. I want to be able to start a load of laundry before I run out the door, and if Josh is home I can ask him to switch to help out by either throwing the ENTIRE load in the dryer or letting him know the ENTIRE load needs to be hung to dry. I am now confident that we aren’t going to have an issue with him drying my favorite shirt to fit a barbie doll. Also, we won’t run into issues of white shirts turning pink. Or even worse, breaking down my super expensive align leggings by washing them with other materials.

I also keep a separate hamper for towels, blankets, sheets, etc. But the real hack lies in the multi-sorter hamper. I found my laundry sorter on Amazon for under $40. I know I end up saving more than $40 by not replacing my ruined clothes every month. Try this hack out and let me know if you find the value in it!
