Traveling with Essential Oils
As I am writing this blog, the dōTERRA 2019 convention is 11 days away. You could say I have all the excited and anxious energy. All of our conversations in our team groups have been around Convention.. what airlines are you on, what time do you land, where are you staying, what are you packing?
That last one is probably the question causing the most anxiety. But luckily for me, this isn’t my first convention and I like to think I have this whole packing thing down. I wrote another travel/packing post in my Hack section but I want to focus this post on what oils I bring with me and how I travel with them.
I mention this in my other post but I feel like it is worth it to talk about it here. I have this strong fear that I am going to be on vacation, open my bag to reach for an oil, and I didn’t pack it. Let’s be honest, I would bring my entire collection if I could because you never know what could happen and there is no way I am heading down to the local drug store to by some OTC medication. But bringing alllll my oil bottles isn’t realistic so I compromise. I pack up my CD case from oil life with tiny drams of my oils. The case holds 49 sample sized bottles. With all 49 spots full, this little padded, zippered case probably weighs 2 pounds or so. This is totally ideal because I can carry it in my bag when I am out and it doesn’t make me need to apply copious amounts of deep blue at the end of the day.
Here are some additional products I pack:
Touch rollers and a full roller bottle of pure FCO for easy dilution if I need it
Sample packets of On Guard toothpaste, Shampoo + Conditioner, and Deep Blue Rub so I don’t have to bring the big bottles.
On Guard foaming hand wash + travel foam dispenser
On Guard hand sanitizing spray - I always carry this in my bag but I will also use it to spray down the hotel bedding and surfaces
Brevi diffuser - I love how compact this diffuser is and the long setting are perfect for overnight. I get some Purify + On Guard pumping in the hotel room as soon as we get in there
Supplements: I am not about to get off my routine when I travel. My immune system is already going to be compromised as it is, so I am sure to support my body all that I can. Instead of bringing all my bottles or a big pill case, I use little plastic bags I picked up from the craft store, and I pre fill the bags with my supplements. I label the bags with the day and either AM or PM: ex. Mon. AM, Mon. PM | Be sure to pack Terrazyme and On Guard +
